Muleta Kapatiso is young lawyer and political, Youth Rights and Human Rights defender(born November 19 Barotseland Zambia). Muleta is also Youth Rights activist and sexual and reproductive health and rights champion for marginalised populations serving under Friends of Inmates Zambia, he also represents Friends of Inmates Zambia on the African Coalition for Menstrual Health Management Marginalized Group’s Taskforce and the Fight Inequality Alliance. In development of his legal career.

Muleta is one of team members at Undikumbukire Project Zambia-UPZambia working on the Program for Legal Empowerment and Enhanced Justice Delivery PLEED project, and works with Inmates providing legal assistance, he also works works with Youth4Parliament as a Resource Person building the movement that aims to ensure trained, capable young leaders make it to Parliament and other key positions of our country’s governance system.

He is a trained Human Rights defender through the Law Association of Zambia  in Conjunction with the SADC Lawyer’s Association. He holds a Bachelor of Laws LLB Degree from the University of Lusaka and is a product of several competency and skills trainings in ICT, Policy Advocacy, Human rights and Project Management.

He believes healthcare systems must approach health from a human rights perspective in order to achieve Universal Health Coverage commitments and leave no one behind.  Chief among all this, Muleta describes himself as a manifestation of the new creation through Christ Jesus and a born again change maker that this generation needs.
